Erin Dierickx enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the women's soccer team.
She joins UConn after working as a volunteer assistant coach for the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) during the 2018 campaign. Prior to her stint at VMI, Dierickx spent time with Dixie State University (Adjunct Instructor for Health & Human Performance Program, 2018), Heat Football Club-Utah (Technical Director and Head Coach of Speed and Agility, 2017-18) and Olympic Development Program Nevada (Girls Soccer 2002 Head Coach, 2017-18).
While at Dixie State University, she worked as Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach and Head Conditioning Coach for the 2017 season.Â
From 2015-17, she was an Exercise and Wellness Lab Teaching Assistant at Arizona State. During her time at Arizona State she was a head coach for Sereno Soccer Club.
Dierickx received her bachelor's in Exercise Science and Human Performance and Fitness from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA. Her master's degree in Exercise and Wellness: Fitness and Conditioning at Arizona State and she is currently working towards her doctorate in Philosophy in Kinesiology at UConn and is working at the Korey Stringer Institute as the Associate Director of Athletic Performance & Safety.
Dierickx is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and licensed soccer coach through USSF.
