As a Fifth Year Senior (2023): Team captain. Started all 19 games at center back for the Huskies and led the team in minutes with 1681 minutes. Anchored a defense that posted 11 shutouts on the season and tied for 15th in the country with a .579 shutout percentage. Only allowed three goals in BIG EAST play the fewest amount of goals allowed in conference play since 2000. Tied for eighth in the country with a .526 goals against average.Â
As a Senior (Fall 2022). Started all 18 games at outside back for the Huskies. Third on the team with 1559 minutes played. Helped the Huskies secure six shutouts and tie for the second fewest goals allowed in the BIG EAST. Played all 90 minutes in 11 matches and all 110 minutes in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals at St. John's (10/30). Tallied four shots on the season.
As a Junior (Fall 2021): Started all 18 games as one of UConn's leaders on the backline ... led the team with 1624 minutes ... played 90+ minutes in 12 games ... totaled four shots.
As a Sophomore (Spring 2021):Â Started all 12 matches for the Huskies on the back line. Helped the defense secure six shutouts on the year. Scored one goal and added three assists. Notched her first goal of the season at Georgetown (3/18). Her three assists tied for the team lead and is a new career-high. Picked up assists vs. Northeastern (2/28), vs. Seton Hall (3/14) and vs. Villanova (3/25).
As a Freshman (2019): Started all 17 matches as a freshman as an outside back. Posted one goal and two assists. Scored first career goal at CCSU (8/29) to tie the game late in regulation. For her efforts earned American Athletic Conference honor roll status. Notched helpers against Colgate (9/1) and Houston (10/10). 1497 minutes ranked second among field players for the Huskies. Totaled four shots on the season.
Before UConn: Played two seasons under head coach Aaron Berger at High Point Regional High School in Wantage, N.J. During her two seasons on the field, Harnett earned First Team All-Conference, All-Academic team and First Team All-Herald in both campaigns. She was the leading scorer on her team with 16 goals as a freshman and set a single-season record with 34 goals as a sophomore. After her sophomore season, Harnett received NJ Herald, MaxPreps and Mugs Media Player of the Year honors. Harnett did not play her junior (developmental academy) or senior year (ACL Injury). She played club soccer at PDA, a powerhouse in the New Jersey area. She helped lead PDA to a pair of ECNL Northeast Conference Championships in 2016 and 2017.
