Carson D'Ambrosio enters his third season as an assistant coach for the UConn women's soccer team in 2026.Â
In 2025, the Huskies captured their third-straight double digit win season with 11 victories. Seven of those wins came in BIG EAST Conference play, the most for UConn since the 2007 campaign. UConn also secured 11 shutouts, tying the most for the Huskies since 2016. The 16 goals allowed was the second fewest in the BIG EAST Conference. The Huskies tied for second in the BIG EAST with the 11 clean sheets. Freshman goalkeeper Ava Yamas led the BIG EAST Conference with 10 shutouts and ranked second in the league with 0.80 goals against average.Â
In his first season in 2024, the Huskies won 14 wins, a BIG EAST Tournament Championship and an NCAA First Round win against Rutgers. The NCAA Tournament appearance was the first since 2016 for the Huskies. UConn recorded 10 shutouts on the season including only one in a three-game run in the BIG EAST Tournament. Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Mahoney posted eight shutouts on the year to move into second all-time with 27 clean sheets in program history.
D'Ambrosio joins the staff after currently working at FSA FC as their current Director of Goalkeeping and Video Analyst. Prior to his time at FSA, D'Ambrosio worked at Central Connecticut State as Director of Analytics and Goalkeeper Coach for the men's soccer team in 2022-23.Â
In 2020-21, he worked as the goalkeeper coach at Eastern Connecticut State with the women's soccer team.Â
During his playing career, D'Ambrosio served as a team captain for the CCSU men's soccer team and played for the Blue Devils from 2014-18. He also spent some time playing professionally with Hartford AthleticÂ
