Danny Allen joined the University of Connecticut in October of 2023 and serves as Athletics Development Coordinator, playing a vital role in advancing the athletic department’s fundraising and engagement initiatives. In his position, Allen creates comprehensive reports and conducts strategic research, serves as a key conduit for athletics development strategies, and provides essential support at home events in hospitality areas.
Allen brings a diverse background in athletic administration and sports performance to his role at UConn. Prior to joining the Huskies, he served as Director of Baseball Operations at Xavier University, where he managed complex travel logistics, coordinated team operations, and facilitated communication between teams. His operational expertise was further developed during his tenure as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Intern at Xavier, where he worked directly with student-athletes in training environments.
Allen holds an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Xavier University (2023) and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Sports Administration from Xavier University. His combination of operational experience, athletic background, and ongoing education in sports administration positions him well to contribute to UConn's athletics development efforts.
Based in Manchester, Connecticut, Allen is dedicated to supporting the growth and success of UConn Athletics through strategic development initiatives and collaborative partnerships.
