Giselle Juarez-Presley enters her third season as the Huskies pitching coach in 2026-27. She joined the Huskies coaching staff in June of 2024.
In 2025, Juarez-Presley led the Huskies to their second consecutive BIG EAST Tournament Championship while also securing the BIG EAST Regular Season title. UConn won its first NCAA Tournament game since 2001, defeating McNeese State, 5-1. Under Juarez-Presley, Jessica Walter and Caprice Bohmer earned All-BIG EAST honors for the first time in their careers. She also coached Walter to an NFCA All-Region selection and guided her to BIG EAST Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors. Walter set the program record for appearances in a season with 42 while tying the single season record for saves (9). Her pitching staff held a 4.41 era, recording 272 strikeouts with six shutouts.
In her first season in Storrs, Juarez-Presley was instrumental in guiding the Huskies to the program's first BIG EAST Tournament Championship since 2001. Her pitching staff posted a collective 4.37 era notching over 200 strikeouts across 54 games in 2025. Juarez-Presley coached two pitchers to double digit wins in Payton Kinney (15) and Hope Jenkins (11). She coached Kinney to All-BIG EAST First Team and NFCA All-Region Second Team honors. Under Juarez, Kinney shined in the postseason for the Huskies, earning the BIG EAST Tournament Most Outstanding Player award, leading the Huskies to the program's eighth BIG EAST Tournament title. She and the coaching staff were named NFCA East Regional Coaching Staff of the Year.
Before coming to UConn, Juarez-Presley was a graduate assistant at the University of Oklahoma assisting the Sooners to their fourth national championship in a row.
Before her time at Oklahoma as a graduate assistant, Juarez-Presley served as an assistant coach with the Birmingham Thunderbolts from 2022 to 2023.
Juarez-Presley earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Oklahoma in 2021 where she played three seasons for NFCA Hall of Fame coach, Patty Gasso. In the circle, she helped lead the Sooners to a national championship in 2021 where she earned Most Outstanding Player honors in the 2021 Women's College World Series. Juarez-Presley started her playing career at Arizona State in 2017 before transferring to Oklahoma after her sophomore year in 2019. A two time NFCA First Team All-American (2018, 2019), and former BIG 12 Pitcher of the Year (2019), she enjoyed a fruitful playing career holding an astounding career record of 85-19 in the circle with 823 career strikeouts in over 635 innings pitched.
