Jahmal Mitchell joined the UConn Foundation and UConn Athletics Development Staff in January of 2024.
Previously, Mitchell was an Annual Fund Officer for UConn Athletics through a third party. He began that role in April of 2023, his responsibilities, like the ones he has now were to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors on the annual fund level.
Prior to returning to UConn in 2023 he served as an Account Executive for UConn Athletics from 2017-2020. Before that he also served as a Box Office Assistant for the New Britain Bees Professional Baseball, while they were part of the Atlantic Independent League.
Mitchell graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 2016, where he earned a BS in Sport Management. While there he served as a sports communications intern for Yale Athletics and was a student-athlete for the SCSU football team.
