Madi Herb joined the University of Connecticut field hockey program in 2025 as the Director of Operations and Assistant Coach after completing a four-year collegiate playing career with the Huskies.
A four-year letter winner at UConn, Herb recorded 13 goals and 11 assists during her career. In her senior season in 2024, the Huskies finished 17–4, captured both the BIG EAST regular-season and tournament championships, and hosted the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament as the No. 3–ranked team. During the 2025 season, Herb transitioned into her role on the coaching staff as the program’s fourth assistant and Director of Operations. UConn finished the season 12–9, earned another NCAA Tournament berth, defeated No. 7 Wake Forest, and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight. Prior to her collegiate career, Herb was a standout multi-sport athlete at Wilson High School in Pennsylvania. She was a 2019 First Team All-State and All-County selection after leading her team to a PIAA 3AAA State Championship and earned Second Team All-State honors in 2018. Herb was a two-time All-Division selection, was named to the Max Field Hockey Top 50 Player list, earned 2021 High School Senior Impact Team (All-American) recognition, and was named Wilson High School’s Most Outstanding Female Athlete in 2021. In addition to field hockey, she competed in track and field, breaking the school record in the 300-meter hurdles while earning All-County honors, along with All-Division accolades in the 400M, 100M hurdles, and 4x100M relay. Herb graduated from UConn in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Personalized Nutrition. She also works at Revolution Training Centers, where she focuses on field hockey instruction and skill development for youth athletes.
