Manny Hatzikostas is in his sixth year with UConn Athletics and in his second year as Assistant Director of Communications, serving as the Sports Information Director for the Men's Soccer, Women's Hockey, Softball, and Rowing programs.Â
Hatzikostas previously served as the Director of Operations and Assistant Director of Athletic Communications for the Softball and Men's Soccer programs from 2022-2024. In this role, he oversaw team travel logistics, team meal planning, program events, statistics, as well the social media pages for both programs.Â
Hatzikostas first started at UConn Athletics with the Men's Soccer program from 2020-2022 as the Director of Soccer Operations. His responsibilities included coordinating team travel and logistics, execute internal ticket promotion, community outreach, oversee student manager hiring, and coordinating fundraising events. Hatzikostas was instrumental in ticket sales, match promotion, and fan engagement. Under his direction, in 2021 UConn was #1 in NCAA Division I Soccer Regular Season fan attendance averaging 2,800 fans per game.Â
Hatzikostas graduated from UConn in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management. He earned his Master's degree in Sport Management in 2022.
He currently resides in Vernon, Connecticut with his wife Laura. He is a native of Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
