Max Wray

- Assistant Coach - Tight Ends
Max Wray joins the UConn coaching staff for 2026 and will coach the Husky tight ends.
Wray comes to Storrs after three seasons on staff with Coach Candle at Toledo. Wray spent 2025 as assistant offensive line coach after spending the previous two seasons as a graduate assistant for the Rockets.Â
Wray played for three seasons on the offensive line at Ohio State from 2018-20 before enrolling at Colorado in 2021 as a graduate transfer. He played in 11 games in his career as a Buckeye, including a starting assignment vs. Michigan State in 2020.Â
A native of Klamath Falls, Ore., Wray grew up in Tennessee where he was a four-star prospect at Franklin High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Ohio State in 2021.
