Paul Caddy, completed his sixth season as head coach at UConn in 2025 after being named the program’s fourth head coach in 2020. A longtime architect of the Huskies’ national success, Caddy continues to lead UConn as a championship-caliber program and consistent BIG EAST contender, with the Huskies most recently coming off another NCAA tournament appearance, falling to Harvard by a final of 1-0 in the elite eight.
- Won three NCAA National Championships as associate head coach (2013, 2014, 2017), including a perfect 23-0 season in 2017
- Coaches eight NCAA Final Four teams during his tenure
- Coaches UConn to 33 BIG EAST Championships (Regular Season and Tournament)
- Has totaled 385 wins, averaging 18 victories per season
- Most recently let UConn to the Elite Eight in 2025
- In 2024 guided the Huskies to a #3 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament following the programs 42 BIG EAST Title (Regular season and Tournament) in 2024 finishing with a record of 17-4 with 6 ranked wins
- Developed 28 NFHCA First Team All-Americans and 43 All-Americans
- Coached 14 BIG EAST Defensive Players of the Year, including a six-year streak (2014–19),
- Mentored Olympians including Melissa Gonzalez, Cecile Pieper, and Roisin Upton, Sophie Hamilton and Karlie Kisha.
- Mentored Honda Award Winners Marie Elena Bolles and Charlotte Veitner
- Instrumental in recruiting and developing top international talent
- Earned BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2024 in addition to winning the honor in 2013, 2014, 2017.
- Spent 25 seasons on the UConn staff, including 10 as associate head coach
- Previous stops include Ohio State, Quinnipiac (1999 NEC Champions), and UMass (1999 NCAA Tournament)
- Former standout at the University of Wales, Swansea, earning All-Wales First Team honors twice
- Earned a bachelor’s degree (1999) from Swansea and a master’s degree (2004) from Quinnipiac
- Native of England; resides in Mansfield, Connecticut with his wife, Kate, and their children, Izzy and Miles
- Holds highest USA coaching qualification level 3
- Assistant coach USA senior national team in 2013 New Zealand Tour.
