Paul Friedman joined the UConn sports medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer over the summer in 2019. He works with the UConn football program.
Friedman came to UConn after completing a seasonal internship with the Baltimore Ravens. During his time with the Ravens, he designed rehabilitation and treatment protocols, maintained the athletic training room and other similar responsibilities.
Prior to the Ravens, Friedman completed his master's of sciences in advanced athletic training with a concentration in youth athletes at the University of South Florida in 2018. He served as a resident athletic trainer at USF for two years, working with the football and women’s tennis. While at USF, Friedman worked as a summer camp supervisor and preceptor to students. Paul finished at USF receiving the Resident of the Year award.
A native of Somers, N.Y., Friedman graduated from the University of South Carolina with his bachelor's of science in athletic training in 2016. He completed a summer internship with the New York Giants in 2015.
