Marashio Earns ECAC Weekly Honors

CENTERVILLE, MA – Freshman Julie Marashio (Wayland, MA) of the University of Connecticut women’s hockey team was named ECAC Eastern League Rookie of the Week for the week of October 22- 28 as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Marashio scored three goals and added two assists in the Husky’s two wins last week. She netted a hat trick in UConn’s 7-4 win over Findlay including the game-winner. She also added an assist in Connecticut’s 4-3 conference win over Boston College.
Connecticut will host its first home conference game of the season against Northeastern on Friday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the UConn Ice Arena.
