UConn Women's Ice Hockey Shutout By RPI

TROY, N.Y. - The University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team were shut out by Rensselaer Poly Institute (RPI), 7-0, on Wednesday night in Troy, NY.
RPI took the advantage early, scoring five goals in the first period behind a one goal and one assist night from senior Andrea Wadman. No goals were made in the second period, but RPI came back in the third with a pair of scores at the 3:46 and 12:59 marks.
Sophomore goalie Diana Cohen (South Salem, NY) had 36 saves against RPI's 43 shots on goal. Carla King and Carolyn Fox shared time in the post blocking nine saves for RPI. The Engineers outshot UConn 43-9.
Connecticut drops to 2-8-0 on the season, while RPI improves to 11-8-2. The Huskies will next host St. Michael's at the UConn Ice Arena on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m.
