Houlden Named Hockey East Co-Rookie of the Week

STORRS, CT (Nov. 11) – Freshman defender Jennifer Houlden (Richmond Hill, Ontario) was awarded the Hockey East Rookie of the Week honors as chosen by league officials Monday afternoon. She shares the honor with Jana Budgen of Providence.
Houlden set up both UConn goals Saturday at Northeastern, including the game-winner in overtime. With the win, Connecticut picked up its first league win as a member of the newly-formed Hockey East women’s league.
Connecticut will be on the road this weekend, playing at Findlay on Saturday, November 16 and Ohio State on Sunday, November 17. Both games are scheduled for 2 p.m.
