McLeod Named ECAC Rookie of the Week

CENTERVILLE, MA (February 11) – Freshman Megan McLeod (Livonia, MI) of the University of Connecticut women’s ice hockey team was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
McLeod scored three goals and added two assists in UConn’s 1-1 weekend against Wayne State. In Friday’s 6-1 victory, McLeod scored the eventual game-winner, plus added another goal and two assists. In Saturday’s overtime loss, McLeod notched UConn’s first game-tying goal of the game.
Connecticut will host Providence on Saturday, February 15 at 2:00 pm at the UConn Ice Arena.
