Towson Closes UConn's Season With a 10-5 Loss

TOWSON, MD (May 4) – The University of Connecticut women’s lacrosse team dropped a 10-5 decision to Towson University behind the play of freshman Abbey VanDeusen (Fayetteville, NY) in the Huskies last regular season game on Saturday afternoon in Towson, MD.
UConn held Towson to a close game through the first half of play, trailing behind the Tigers, 5-2. Towson went on to score five in the second half, to UConn’s three goals, taking home the 10-5 victory.
VanDeusen scored three goals on her four shots taken, collected two ground balls, had one caused turnover and a draw control, dominating all aspects of the field for UConn. Kelly Feeley (Collingswood, NJ) and Pam Lowie (Cortland, NY) each notched one goal apiece, extending Feeley’s scoring streak to 15-games and Lowie’s to 13-games. Jennifer Wong (Greenwood Village, CO) earned the start in net making sevens stops and allowing four goals, while April Pollock (North Syracuse, NY) came in on relief making four saves on four goals.
Connecticut completed its regular season with a 9-7 overall record, 3-3 in the BIG EAST.
