Olsen Named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week

STORRS, Conn. (Oct. 25) -- University of Connecticut men’s hockey senior captain Tim Olsen (Vadnais Heights, Minn.) was named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday. Olsen recieves the honor for the first time this season and the fifth time in his career.
With two goals in the Huskies 3-2 overtime win against Massachusetts, Olsen helped lead UConn to its first victory over the Minutemen since Feb. 16, 1979 and its first-ever win over a Hockey East opponent. His first goal tied the game and his second gave Connecticut a 2-1 lead in the second period.
The Huskies return to action on Sunday, October 31, when the team travels to Dartmouth for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
