UConn vs. Pittsburgh Men's Basketball Game

STORRS, CONNECTICUT (January 21, 2005)-- In response to reports of pending inclement weather, the University of Connecticut men’s basketball game against the University of Pittsburgh is scheduled to be played on Saturday, January 22, at 9:00 p.m. at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.
Weather reports indicate that conditions on Saturday afternoon into evening may be hazardous. Fans planning to attend the UConn-Pittsburgh game are asked by University officials to use extreme caution in driving to the Storrs campus for the contest as well as in parking and walking to Gampel Pavilion.
All roads, parking lots and sidewalks on the UConn campus may have some snow cover for much of the evening as work crews attempt to clear all surfaces as quickly as possible. Parking will be limited due to the snow and fans are reminded to park in game parking garages or approved lots only. Patrons parking illegally or impeding snow removal may be towed.
Fans with tickets to the contest who are unable to attend are ENCOURAGED TO DONATE UNUSED TICKETS FOR USE BY UCONN STUDENTS WHO CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE TICKETS TO THIS GAME. This ticket donation can be accomplished in several ways.
1.) Bring your tickets to the UConn women’s basketball game at the Hartford Civic Center and turn
them in at any of three locations......
a. the main box office in the lobby of the Hartford Civic Center
b. on the concourse behind section 118 (nearest Church and Trumbull Street Entrance).
c. unused novelty stand behind section 112-113 (nearest Church and Ann Street Entrance).
2.) Send an email message to ATHTICKETS@UCONN.EDU. Make the subject heading “Pitt Tickets”
and be sure to include your name and ticket locations.
3.) Call the UConn Athletic Ticket Office beginning at 9 a.m. at 1-877-AT-UCONN with your name
and ticket locations.
Note: To maximize the number of UConn Students that we can accommodate, fans donating tickets
are asked to contact UConn Athletics by 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Fans unable to get to the game are reminded that the contest will be broadcast live on ESPN and can also be heard live on the UConn/WTIC-AM 1080 Radio Network.
