Huskies Chosen For All-Star Games

STORRS, Conn. (May 13, 2005) – Tracy Mullaney and Kelly Robinson have been selected to represent the University of Connecticut women’s lacrosse program at the prestigious Division I Senior North/South All-Star game. The contest will be held in Baltimore on June 4 at 3:00 p.m.
Additionally, seven Huskies will compete for the New England team in the US Lacrosse National Tournament to be held over Memorial Day Weekend at Lehigh University. The seven participants are Leah Giffin, Kristen Haldeman, Kristina Harvey, Tanya Kotowicz, Tammy Michel, Laura Trzasko and Emily Van Buitenen. One interesting opportunity for the group will be seeing their head coach, Bonnie Rosen, in action. Rosen will compete for the US Team at the festival as part of the final round of tryouts for this summer’s World Cup team. Rosen played on Team USA’s 1997 and 2001 World Cup squads.
The Huskies will wrap up the 2005 season, already the program’s must successful to date, on Saturday, May 14 when the Huskies face off against Boston College for the ECAC Championship at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium in Storrs at 2:00 p.m.
