WAKEFIELD, Mass. (Dec. 4, 2007) - Freshman Jody Sydor (St. Albert, Alta.), sophomore Dominique Thibault (L'Orignal, Ont.) and junior Brittany Wilson (Nepean, Ont.) each earned a spot on the Hockey East weekly honor roll, as announced Monday by the Hockey East Association.
UConn finished the week 0-1-1 after a home-and-home series with Hockey East opponent Boston College. Sydor and Thibault led the Huskies with two points a piece (1g, 1a) while Wilson recorded 118:57 minutes in goal.
Sydor, who picked up her two points in the 6-3 loss to Boston College on Saturday, Dec. 1, improved her numbers on the season to three goals, two assists and five points.
Thibault recorded her two points in the 2-2 overtime tie to Boston College on Thursday, Nov. 29. The sophomore recorded five shots on goal while connecting for a .200 percentage. Thibault continues to add to her total point tally, as she leads the Huskies with 24 (12g, 12a) this season. She has recorded at least one point in every UConn victory while in the Huskies' three losses, she has picked up none.
Wilson leads the Huskies in goal this season with a 7-3-1 overall record. Her 301 saves are good enough for third-best in the league while she leads the Huskies in the same category. The junior posts a 2.77 goals allowed average while adding a .909 save percentage for the UConn program.
The Huskies will return to action on Friday, Dec. 7 as they travel to Harvard for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference match-up in Cambridge, Mass.
