Women's Tennis Drops Dual Match Against UMass

The Huskies and Minutemen split the singles matches, with Emily Herb (Cherry Hill, N.J.) leading the way for UConn in the #2 flight with her team-leading eighth win of the year. She defeated her UMass opponent, 6-2, 6-0.
BreAnn Cheung (Tucson, Ariz.) and Ali Campitiello (New York, N.Y.) also tallied wins in singles play, taking flights four and five, respectively.
Kelley LoRusso (Shoreham, N.Y.) took her #1 singles match to three sets, eventually falling, 6-4, 4-6, 6-0, to UMass' Masha Pozar.
UMass went on to clinch the win in doubles play sweeping all three matches.
The women's tennis team has this weekend off before returning to action Oct. 5-7 at the Bucknell Invitational.
