WEST POINT, N.Y. - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team continued play on day two of the Army Invitational on Saturday as just one UConn duo remained alive in the Invite brackets.
Sarah Griffin and Marie Gargiulo led the Huskies after the first day of competition as they made the quarterfinal round of the B doubles flight. But the UConn duo fell to UMass' Jocelyn Providence and Kaitlyn Carpenter 8-2 on Saturday.
Next the Huskies will travel to Lewisburg, Pa. for the Bucknell Invite that begins Friday, Oct. 1. The invitation will go through Sunday, Oct. 3.
