Women's Hockey Drops 5-3 Contest at Colgate

After a scoreless first period, Colgate broke the ice 1:02 into the second on an unassisted goal by Jenna Klynstra. Midway through the period, Taylor Craig scored to extend the Raider lead to 2-0.
UConn answered back with a goal just over a minute later when sophomore Kayla Campero (
In the third, Colgate lifted its lead to 4-1 on back-to-back goals by Melissa Kueber and Rachel Walsh, less than a minute apart.
Twenty eight second after Walsh's goal, freshman Brittany Berisoff (
With only seven seconds remaining on the clock, Miriam Drubel put the game away with an empty-net goal.
In her third start of the year, freshman goaltender Elaine Chuli (
For the game, UConn was outshot by Colgate, 39-28.
