STORRS, Conn. - The UConn men's hockey team will host Sacred Heart at the Mark Edward Freitas Ice forum on Friday night beginning at 7:05 p.m. The game can be heard at WHUS.org with a live video stream linked to uconnhuskies.com. Both teams are looking for their first victories of the season.
UConn will also play at Merrimack on Saturday beginning at 7 p.m.
Connecticut most recently dropped a pair at Niagara while Sacred Heart fell to Mercyhurst.
"We are trying to reshuffle some lines and see who plays best together," said assistant coach David Berard. "We aren't making full-scale changes, just a few tweaks here and there. We still want to work out the best lineup on that secondary power-play unit."
The Huskies enter the weekend at 0-4-1 (0-3-0 AHA) while Sacred Heart comes to Storrs with a 0-6-1 (0-4-1 AHA) record. Sacred Heart has struggled defensively with the worst goals against average in the NCAA at 5.14 goals allowed per game. The Huskies are scoring just 0.80 goals per contest with four goals in five games.
Last season, UConn went 1-1-1 against Sacred Heart, including an 8-3 victory in Storrs.
