- The game was UConn's fourth win of the year where where it came over a doulbe-digit deficit -- joining Villanova (18), Coppin State (13) and West Virginia (10) earlier in the year.
- Connecticut advances to face No 1-seeded Syracuse Thursday in the quarterfinal round of the BIG EAST Championship.
- Three of the last four Connecticut-Syracuse meetings in the BIG EAST Championship were decided in
overtime, including a six-overtime Syracuse win in the 2009 quarterfinals.
