Huskies Fall to ECU in Conference Match

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - The UConn men's tennis team played their first American Athletic Conference match of the season on Friday, falling to East Carolina at home, 7-0, at the East Hartford Tennis Club.
After losing the doubles point, the Huskies battled in singles play losing three matches in three sets. Junior Christopher Toner (South Hamilton, Mass.) lost at #2 to Vlad Anghel, 5-7, 6-4 and 6-3.
Freshman Justin Warren (Durham, N.C.) won the first set against Fredric Lehfeldt 6-4 before falling 6-4 and 6-4 at #3. Senior Zac McEntee (Yorba Linda, Calif.) fell at #4 to Kasey Countee, 4-6, 6-4 and 6-3.
The Huskies will host Temple on Sunday morning to close out a weekend of AAC play.
