BOSTON - Competing in its second meet in six days, the UConn women's cross country team continued its 2016 schedule on Friday when it took part in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown at historic Franklin Park in Boston.
Nine members of the Husky program competed in Friday's 5K open race as sophomore standout Haley Hasty was the team's top finisher, checking in with a 18:59 second result. Next up, sophomore Lauren Scahill (19:22) and rookie Mackenzie Pias (19:23) took 78th and 79th, respectively.
Alana Pearl grabbed 82nd with a 19:27 second finish, checking in just ahead of teammate Hannah Parker (19:27), while Thalia Staiger placed 90th with a 19:35 result. Katie Foley was the seventh Husky to grab a top-100 finish, clocking in 19:53 on her way to 97th overall.
