Women's Soccer Beats Tulsa, 1-0

TULSA, Okla. - Junior Vivien Beil (Jena, Germany) scored the game's only goal 4:09 into the second half as the UConn women's soccer team defeated Tulsa by a 1-0 score on Thursday night.
Beil connected from a yard out off a rebound of a shot by freshman Yamilee Eveillard (Valley Stream, N.Y.). Eveillard picked up an assist on the play as the goal was the third of the season for Beil.
UConn improves to 4-5-3 on the season and is 2-1 in the American Athletic Conference while Tulsa is 3-10-2 and 1-4 in the league.
The Huskies outshot Tulsa by a 21-14 count and each team had seven corner kicks.
Senior Courtney Hofer (Farmington, Conn.) picked up her second UConn career win as she made five saves. Hofer has played three games for UConn this year after transferring from TCU.
UConn returns to action on Sunday when they play at Memphis in a 2 p.m. game.
