STORRS, Conn. - Cincinnati junior midfielder Jill Vetere scored the game's only goal at the 65:24 mark to lead the Bearcats to a 1-0 women's soccer victory over UConn Thursday night at Morrone Stadium.
Vetere scored from seven yards out as she put back a blast from senior midfielder Katy Couperus that hit the crossbar. Couperus picked up an assist on the play.
