Emma Turner named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

Senior is ranked first in the conference for assists
STORRS, Conn. – The American Athletic Conference announced its weekly volleyball award recipients on Monday, Oct. 1. Senior Emma Turner (Winter Park, Fla.) garnered recognition on this week's honor roll, as the Huskies pulled off a 3-1 redemption victory over the Temple Owls on Friday night.
Turner, who has been putting on an assist clinic this season, posted 52 assists in the Temple match. She played in four sets, hit a respectable .333 (going 6-1-15), added 11 digs, and a block assist. On the season, Turner has posted a total of eight double-doubles.
She currently ranks No. 1 in the conference for assists and is trending at 13 assists per set. She leads the Huskies with 628 this season to add to her career total of 2,912 assists. Nationally Turner sits at No. 36 for total assists.
UConn returns home for a two homestand against ECU on Friday, Oct. 5th at7:00 p.m. and Cincinnati on Sunday, Oct. 7th at noon. Both matches will include special events. Friday will celebrate Jonathan's birthday and Mental Health Awareness Week. Sunday will have a Post-Match Clinic and autographs. Participants for the post-match clinic must be in the eighth grade or below.
