STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team finishes up the 2018 season with a pair of road games at Temple on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 3:30 p.m. and the season finale at ECU on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m.
The ECU match was previously scheduled for Oct. 11 but inclement weather from Hurricane Michael forced the postponement.
UConn enters the weekend at 3-13 overall and 1-6 in The American. With only two contests remaining and three points accumulated the Huskies have been mathematically eliminated from the six-team American Athletic Conference tournament.
It is only the second time in program history that the team has failed to reach the conference tournament (2011).Â
Sophomore Sophia Danyko-Kulchycky leads the team with eight goals and 17 points on the season. In the last road American Conference game, at Cincinnati, DK recorded a hat trick by tallying three goals against the Bearcats.
The senior class will play its final games in a UConn uniform and senior defender Liane Keegans has the opportunity to start every game of her career with a pair of starts this weekend. The Wayzata, Minn. native has started in all 81 UConn games since stepping foot in Storrs.
