Honoring teammate Elsa Nocton
STORRS, Conn.—Join the volleyball team as they put together another very special day for their youngest teammate, Elsa Nocton. The "Elsa Day" will correspond with the Wichita State match on Sunday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m.
The Huskies want to give Elsa another special moment as her tenure on the team comes to a close. Her school chorus, Mansfield Middle School under the direction of Mr. Johnson, will be in attendance as they and Elsa will be singing the national anthem. The invitation is also extended to entire school.
The 11-year-old is a native of Storrs who signed her Husky Intent Letter back on Oct. 5th. Elsa was diagnosed with Charcot Marie Tooth disease, which is a neurological disorder that affects peripheral nerves. She joined the Huskies by way of Team Impact, a national nonprofit that connects children facing serious and chronic illnesses with college athletic teams.
