Emma Turner named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

STORRS, Conn.—After tremendous 2018 campaign, the Huskies tab one more on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll in senior setter Emma Turner. For the third time this season, Turner has garnered this honor.
Turner's effort in the final match against the Temple Owls back on Wednesday, Nov. 21 did not go unnoticed by her coaches, team, or the conference. She posted a hitting percentage of .333, six kills, dished out 41 assists, a service ace, 14 digs, and three block assists. Furthermore, she nabbed 1.50 kills per set, 10.25 assists per set, 3.50 digs per set, and 2.12 points per set.
For her senior campaign, she tallied 14 double-doubles, carved her name into UConn's record books at No.3 in school history for career assists at 3,446, No.2 in the AAC for assists, No.133 in NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball in assists per set, and in a three-way tie for No.70 in total assists.

"Turner nearly had a triple double on Wednesday after recording 41 assists, 14 digs and six kills. Her double-double was her 15th of the season as she concluded her senior campaign tied for second in the conference. Turner hit .333, while recording three blocks, as she averaged 10.25 assists and 3.50 digs per set through four frames."
