No. 20 Huskies Drop Contest, 7-1

Hartford, Conn. - The No. 20 UConn baseball team lost game two of the series vs. Tulane, 7-1, on Saturday afternoon at Dunkin' Donuts Park in front of 2543.
The Huskies pitching staff allowed six walks, three hit by pitches and the defense committed a pair of errors in the loss.
The Green Wave capitalized with a Grant Witherspoon grand slam in the fifth inning to give Tulane a 5-0 lead in the fifth. The grand slam was the first hit of the day for the Green Wave.
The UConn offense was shut down by Tulane starter Keegan Gillies. The right-hander logged a complete game with just six hits allowed, one run and struck out eight.
UConn scored their only run in the game in the sixth. After Troy Stefanski doubled to right center to extend his hit-streak to 12 games, catcher Zac Susi drove him in with an RBI single.
The Huskies look to regroup tomorrow at 11 a.m. in a rubber game from J.O. Christian Field in Storrs. The Huskies are 5-3 in rubber games this season and still have the opportunity to win their fourth-straight American Conference series.
