STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's soccer team hosts its first conference games at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium this week with a pair of matchups against No. 19 USF on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. and vs. UCF at noon on Sunday, Sept. 30. Sunday's game will be streamed on The American Digital Network.
The Huskies look to bounce back from a 0-2 road trip in Texas to begin conference play after a close 3-2 loss at Houston before dropping the finale at SMU, 4-1. Senior Elena Santos led the way with a pair of goals during the road trip.
The Huskies (2-9, 0-2) are in the midst of a season-long four game losing streak but look to regroup after playing five of their last six games away from Morrone Stadium.
UConn faces its first ranked opponent of the season when the Bulls face the Huskies on Thursday night. The Huskies will sport yellow laces with their cleats in support Go4theGoal, an organization that helps children and their families that have cancer.
The Bulls enter the match with a 5-1 overall record and were idle last weekend at the start of conference play.
On Sunday, the American Digital Network provides coverage of UConn vs. UCF. Lincoln Rose, Kit McConnico and Bill Spaulding are on the call.
