STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team (2-2-3) closes out the non-conference portion of its season against Vermont on Friday, September 25 at 7 p.m at Morrone Stadium. The game will be streamed for free on UConn+.
Friday's nights gameday promotionย is $2 Miller Lite Night at Morrone Stadium with all Miller Lite's at $2 (while supplies last).ย
UConn is looking to get back in the win column after going (0-1-1) in their two-game road swing against talented sides inย No. 8 West Virginia (T, 1-1) and Harvard (L, 0-2).
The Huskies will get a boost with Ines Nourani returning from a U-20 World Cup stint in Polan with Team Canada. The Canadians made a Quarterfinal run in the tournament.ย
UConn is unbeaten at home this season with a 2-0-1 mark and get their final tune up before its 10-match BIG EAST schedule begins next Wednesday, September 30 at St. John's.
The Catamounts are 3-4-2 on the season with a 1-0 conference mark in the America East. Eleni Stowell leads the team with four goals on the season.ย
The Huskies are looking to replicate their last home game on September 6 that saw UConn put up five goals against LIU. UConn has managed 10 goals on the season with Maeve Staunton leading the way with three total.ย
UConn is 11-0-3 all-time against Vermont with the last meeting occuring in the 2024 season opener that resulted in a 2-2 draw.ย
