No. 3 UConn to Host USF Sunday

STORRS, Conn. – The third-ranked UConn women's basketball team (13-1, 2-0 American) takes on USF (10-6, 1-1) Sunday at 1 p.m. in Gampel Pavilion. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and the UConn/IMG Radio Network.
The Huskies played at Gampel for the first time since Nov. 11 on Wednesday, picking up an 82-38 win over Cincinnati. Senior Katie Lou Samuelson led UConn with 23 points and 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season. Junior Crystal Dangerfield had her second double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 assists.
UConn is 88-0 in American Athletic Conference play since joining the league. The Huskies have won the conference's first five regular season and tournament titles. Including postseason play, UConn is 103-0 against American teams.
The Huskies are 26-0 all-time vs. South Florida. The teams have faced each other in the last four American tournament championship games. The Bulls are currently without three of their top four scorers, including Kitija Laksa, Beatriz Jordao and Laura Ferreira.
