Men's Basketball Primed for Date with Wichita State

STORRS, Conn. – Following a dominating 87-71 victory over Tulane last Saturday, the UConn men's basketball team returns to the hardwood as it prepares to wrap up a two-game homestand at its on-campus facility by playing host to Wichita State in an American Athletic Conference game at Gampel Pavilion. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. tipoff and will be televised by the CBS Sports Network.
Saturday's game is a White Out! Fans are encouraged to WEAR WHITE to the game. White pom-poms will be distributed at the entrances. Additionally, the first 500 students in Gampel will receive a free UConn Nike snapback hat.

- Wichita State has won two of the three meetings between the two programs.
- Wichita State (8-10, 1-5) is coming off a 54-41 road loss at USF on Tuesday.

Leading the Pack…
Coach Dan Hurley enters his first season at the helm after he became the 19th head coach in the history of UConn men's basketball on March 22, 2018. Prior to his hiring, Hurley spent two seasons at Wagner College and six at the University of Rhode Island, and owns a collegiate coaching record of 153- 105 (.593). He is coming off two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and last season was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
