Boker Earns BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week Honors

NEW YORK – UConn field hockey senior Svea Boker was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week after setting personal bests in the third-ranked Huskies' 6-3 win over No. 17 Liberty Saturday.
Boker paced UConn's offense with two goals and four assists vs. the Flames. She had a role in each of the Huskies' six goals and set career highs in assists and points in a game.
The win gave UConn at least a share of the 2019 BIG EAST regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming championship.
Boker leads the BIG EAST with 41 points (15G, 11A).
Senior Antonia Tiedtke was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll after posting one goal and two assists against Liberty.
The Huskies conclude the regular season this weekend. UConn hosts Georgetown Friday at 6 p.m. before taking on UMass Sunday at 1 p.m. The Huskies will honor seniors Abby Lucas, Tiedtke and Boker before the game vs. the Minutemen.
