No. 3 UConn to Conclude Regular Season, Honor Seniors

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 3 UConn field hockey team finishes the 2019 regular season this weekend at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex. The Huskies (14-3, 6-0 BIG EAST) host Georgetown (5-12, 1-5) Friday at 6 p.m. before taking on UMass (9-8) on Sunday at 1 p.m. on Senior Day.

LAST TIME OUT
The Huskies clinched at least a share of the BIG EAST regular season title with a 6-3 win over No. 17 Liberty last Saturday. Senior Svea Boker notched a career-high eight points (2G, 4A) and contributed to each of UConn's goals.
HUSKIES TO HONOR SENIORS
Before UConn's game vs. UMass Sunday, the Huskies will honor seniors Svea Boker, Abby Lucas and Antonia Tiedtke. The trio helped UConn to the 2017 NCAA Championship, four straight BIG EAST regular season titles and three straight BIG EAST Tournament titles.
BEASTS OF THE BIG EAST
UConn has won 38 straight BIG EAST regular season games, dating back to the 2013 season. The Huskies have won seven straight BIG EAST regular season and six straight tournament titles.
The Huskies won at least a share of the BIG EAST regular season championship and can clinch the championship outright with a win on Friday.

The Huskies remain at No. 3 in the latest NFHCA Coaches Poll. UConn has played 12 games vs. ranked opponents this season.

After posting a career-high four assists and eight points in a win over No. 17 Liberty, senior Svea Boker was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week.
SCOUTING THE HOYAS
Georgetown has fallen in its last nine games, most recently a 2-0 loss to Providence last Friday. Cami Osborne leads the Hoyas with six goals and 13 points. Ciara Weets has started 13 games in goal this season and holds a 1.85 goals-against average and a .755 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE MINUTEMEN
UMass is coming off a 2-1 win over UMass Lowell on Tuesday. Lucy Cooper leads the Minutemen with six goals, five assists and 17 points. Marlise van Tonder has started 13 games in goal and holds a 1.35 GAA and a .757 save percentage.
