No. 2 Field Hockey Hosting NCAA First and Second Rounds

STORRS, Conn. - The Big East champion UConn field hockey team (18-3) will host the First and Second Rounds of the 2019 NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship at the George Sherman Family Sports Complex.
The No. 2 seeded Huskies face the winner of the play-in game between Fairfield and American on Friday, Nov. 15 at 12 p.m. while the other side of the bracket matches up Princeton against Syracuse at 2:30 p.m..The NCAA Second Round is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m.
UConn captured its eighth-straight Big East Tournament Championship with a 2-0 win vs. No. 18 Old Dominion on Sunday afternoon.
The Huskies have qualified for 18Â straight NCAA Tournaments. UConn has won three NCAA Championships in the last six seasons.
UConn is hosting for the 17th time in the NCAA TournamentÂ
Under head coach Nancy Stevens, Connecticut is making its 23nd NCAA Tournament appearance and its 31st in program history.
The Final Four will be hosted in Winston Salem, N.C. on Nov. 22 and 24.
