Boker Named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week

NEW YORK – Senior Svea Boker was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year for the fourth time this season, as announced Tuesday.
Boker scored three goals and added an assist in a 2-0 week for the Huskies. In the Huskies' 5-0 victory over Georgetown, Boker scored two goals on just two shots on target in 52 minutes of action, helping UConn win the BIG EAST regular season title outright.
In the final game of the regular season, a 5-1 win over UMass, Boker scored the first goal on a penalty stroke, then assisted the final goal of the game.
Boker leads the BIG EAST with 18 goals and 0.95 goals per game.
The top-seeded Huskies open the BIG EAST Tournament on Friday at 11 a.m. vs. fourth-seeded Providence.
