STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's basketball team, riding a three-game winning streak, begins its seventh season of play in the American Athletic Conference with a two-game road trip, starting at the University of Cincinnati's Fifth Third Arena. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff and will be televised by CBS Sports Network

What to Know
- UConn trails Cincinnati in the all-time series by a narrow margin, 15-13. The Bearcats swept last season's series, 2-0.
- UConn (9-3), which has won six of its last seven games, is coming off a 69-47 home victory over NJIT Sunday.
- The Huskies are led in scoring (14.3) and rebounding (7.4) by senior Christian Vital, while junior Josh Carlton is second on the team in both categories (10.9 ppg, 7.3 rpg). Junior Tyler Polley is also averaging double figures (10.1), while redshirt junior Alterique Gilbert leads in assists (4.7) and redshirt freshman Akok Akok is tops in blocked shots (3.1).
- Cincinnati (7-5) has been idle since a 77-70 loss to Iowa on Dec. 21 on a neutral court. The Bearcats are led in scoring (13.3) and assists (2.9) by Jarron Cumberland, while Tre Scott is the team's top rebounder (8.9).
Leading the Pack
Dan Hurley begins his second season as head coach of the UConn men's basketball team. Hurley became the 19th head coach in the history of UConn men's basketball on March 22, 2018. Prior to his hiring, he spent two seasons at Wagner College and six at the University of Rhode Island, and owns a collegiate coaching record of 167- 122 (.578). Hurley made two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2016-17, 2017-18) and was named the 2017-18 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
