No. 2 Huskies Take on Cincinnati Saturday

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The second-ranked UConn women's basketball team (18-2, 7-0 American) resume conference play at Cincinnati (14-7, 6-2) Saturday at noon. The game will be broadcast on SNY/ESPN3 and the UConn/IMG Radio Network.
The Huskies fell to No. 3 Louisville, 78-69, Thursday. Senior Napheesa Collier led the team with 20 points while junior Crystal Dangerfield added 19. Sophomore Megan Walker led UConn with 12 rebounds.Â
Collier reached the 1,000 career rebound mark vs the Cardinals. She sits at 1,983 career points and can become the fifth Husky all-time with 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.
UConn is 93-0 in American Athletic Conference play since joining the league. The Huskies have won the conference's first five regular season and tournament titles. Including postseason play, UConn is 108-0 against American teams.
The Huskies are 20-0 all-time vs. the Bearcats. On Jan. 9, UConn beat Cincinnati, 82-38, in Gampel Pavilion. Senior Katie Lou Samuelson led the team in the game with 23 points.
Cincinnati has won its last five games, including a 57-56 win over USF on Wednesday. This season, IImar'I Thomas leads the Bearcats with 13.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
