Men’s Basketball Hosts Temple on Senior Night

STORRS, Conn. – Playing in Storrs for the final time this season, UConn men's basketball celebrates Senior Night as it sets to welcome Temple University to Gampel Pavilion on Thursday, March 7. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff and will be televised by CBS Sports Network.

- UConn leads the all-time series by one game, 10-9. Temple took the first matchup between the two schools, notching a 81-63 victory back on Feb. 6.
- Temple (21-8, 11-5) is coming off an 80-69 home win over Tulane, the Owls' fourth win in five games.
- Shizz Alston (19.1) and Quinton Rose (16.6) lead Temple in scoring, while Ernest Aflakpui is the top rebounder (6.7) and Alston hands out the most assists (5.2).

Coach Dan Hurley enters his first season at the helm after he became the 19th head coach in the history of UConn men's basketball on March 22, 2018. Prior to his hiring, Hurley spent two seasons at Wagner College and six at the University of Rhode Island, and owns a collegiate coaching record of 153- 105 (.593). He is coming off two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and last season was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
