THIS MEET, LAST YEAR
The Huskies finished fourth overall last year behind Susan Aneno's conference meet record setting performance in the 800 Meter race. Her contribution aided UConn to 87 points while defending her outdoor title in the event.
After the meet last year head coach J.J. Clark stated, ""We had a lot of great performances this weekend and great efforts were put together. I congratulate Susan for winning and breaking the conference record in the 800m. Mia was sensational. I've never had a freshman score in three individual distance events. Overall, we were four points out of second and the team rallied on different occasions to stay in the title hunt."
RECENTLY FOR UCONN
The UConn women's track and field team had a very busy weekend competing at three different meets, attending the 125th historic Penn Relays, Tom Jones Memorial, and the Brown Springtime Invitational. Successful would be an understatement for the team's results over the course of three meets, the team took home gold on 10 different occasions along with 32 top-5 and 40 top-10 finishes. The Huskies also had a few student-athletes move into the record books for their respective performances throughout the weekend.
