Harnett's Late Tally Earns 1-1 Draw at CCSU

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - Freshman Jackie Harnett scored her first career goal with 8:05 remaining in regulation to help the Huskies earn a 1-1 draw at Central Connecticut State University on Thursday evening. UConn moves to 1-1-1 on the season.
Less than three minutes after the Blue Devils took the first lead of the night, in the 79th minute, Harnett crossed over a Blue Devils defender to create space 25 yards from net. The Wantage, N.J. native powered home a shot above a leaping keeper to even the scoreline.

Freshman Jessica Mazo (four shots) and Duda Santin (3 shots) totaled seven of the Huskies 12 shots.Â
The Huskies return to the University of Hartford on Sunday, Sept. 1 against Colgate at 6 p.m.
