STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's basketball team finishes a two-game American Athletic Conference homestand by entertaining nationally-ranked (#23/#23) Wichita State at the XL Center in Hartford. The game is scheduled for a noon tipoff and will be televised by the CBS Sports Network.

What to Know
- Wichita State leads the five-game series 3-2. The teams split last season's series, each winning on their home floor.
- UConn (10-5 overall, 1-2 AAC) is coming off a 67-61 win over Tulane on Wednesday at Gampel Pavilion.
- The Huskies are led in scoring (13.5) and rebounding (6.9) by senior Christian Vital, with four other players within a fraction of averaging double figures. Redshirt junior Alterique Gilbert leads the team in assists (4.9), while redshirt freshman Akok Akok is tops in blocked shots (3.07).
- Wichita State (14-1, 2-0) is coming off a 76-67 home victory over #21 Memphis on Thursday, the Shockers' eighth straight win. Sophomore Erik Stevenson leads WSU in scoring (13.9), with soph Jamarius Burton (10.9) and freshman Tyson Etienne (10.5) also in double figures. Junior Trey Wade is the top rebounder (6.7) and Burton leads in assists (3.9).
Leading the Pack
Dan Hurley begins his second season as head coach of the UConn men's basketball team. Hurley became the 19th head coach in the history of UConn men's basketball on March 22, 2018. Prior to his hiring, he spent two seasons at Wagner College and six at the University of Rhode Island and owns a collegiate coaching record of 167- 122 (.578). Hurley made two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2016-17, 2017-18) and was named the 2017-18 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
