Huskies Lose Pair of Matches at Army West Point

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn men's tennis team opened up the spring schedule over the weekend with a pair of matches on Sunday at Army West Point. The Huskies fell to the St. John's Red Storm, 4-0, and loss to the Army West Point Black Knights, 7-0.
Against Army, freshman Rami Scheetz (Cedar Rapids, Ia.) lost a tough three-set battle at No.1 to Diego Huttepain. Scheetz won the first set, 6-1, but fell 6-3 and 6-2. At the No.2 singles spot, junior John Michael Holtmann (Coral Gables, Fla.) battled Myles Conlin but fell short, 6-4 and 7-6 (8). Freshman Luke Riemann (Cheshire, Conn.) also lost a three-set decision at No. 6, falling Anant Mundra, 6-7, 6-0 and 6-2.
UConn is on the road for three matches this weekend, making stops at AAC opponent Temple, Villanova and Delaware.
