No. 3 Huskies Travel to Villanova Tuesday

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 3 UConn women's basketball team (4-0, 3-0 BIG EAST) travels to Villanova (7-0, 2-0) Tuesday at 7 p.m. The game will air on SNY and 97-9 ESPN.
UConn beat Xavier, 106-59, last Saturday. Junior Christyn Williams led the Huskies with 24 points while shooting 72.7 percent from the field with four three pointers. Six Huskies scored in double digits against the Musketeers: Williams, Paige Bueckers (19), Olivia Nelson-Ododa (16), Evina Westbrook (15), Aubrey Griffin (13) and Aaliyah Edwards (11).
The Huskies are 36-17 all-time vs. the Wildcats. This is UConn and Villanova's first meeting since Jan. 29, 2013, when the Huskies were last in the BIG EAST Conference.
Villanova is the only other BIG EAST team without a loss this season and the Wildcats are coming off a 73-68 win over Creighton last Saturday. Maddy Siegrist leads Villanova and the BIG EAST with 24.4 points and 12.6 rebounds per game. Head coach Denise Dillon is in her first season.
The game will feature the reigning BIG EAST Player of the Week (Siegrist) vs. the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week (Bueckers).
